At Studio 790, we believe that design is about creating spaces that not only reflect beauty but also elevate daily living. Our latest kitchen project in Miami Shores is a perfect example of that philosophy. This pink, mid-century modern-inspired kitchen combines bold design choices, functional elegance, and a playful atmosphere that invites creativity and likely will explode on Pinterest! Become come on! When do you see a kitchen that has pink as a base color?! Clearly we love our clients.
Pink Kitchen Design Vision: Bringing Mid-Century Modern to Life
Our client wanted a kitchen that was as unique as it was functional. Inspired by mid-century modern aesthetics and to flow with the rest of the house, we balanced contrasting materials—soft pink tiles, black fluted cabinetry, and light wood upper cabinets—to create a harmonious yet striking space. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect a mix of sophistication and warmth.

The Power of Pink
The soft blush pink tiles on the walls set the tone for this design, offering a playful yet refined backdrop. This color choice softens the dramatic black cabinetry and countertops, adding a touch of personality that feels both timeless and fresh. Pink has been making waves in modern interiors, and in this space, it serves as a statement while remaining versatile and inviting.
Textural Contrast: Fluting and Natural Elements
The black lower cabinets are designed with vertical fluting, adding depth and texture to the room. This feature not only enhances the visual interest but also elevates the tactile experience of the space. Paired with the sleek matte black countertops and terrazzo flooring, the fluted cabinetry becomes a key element in balancing the space’s contrasting design features.
For added warmth, we introduced natural wood upper cabinets. These bring in a sense of organic charm, keeping the overall design grounded and welcoming.

Pink Kitchen Lighting: Statement Meets Function
Above the central island, three black mesh pendant lights draw the eye upward. Their spherical form adds a sculptural element to the room, enhancing the mid-century vibe while offering ample lighting for both cooking and entertaining.
The Perfect Gathering Space
The large curved kitchen island, with its black marble surface and seating for five, is the heart of the home. It’s designed for versatility—whether it’s a casual breakfast with family or an evening of hosting friends, this island makes the space feel both functional and inviting.

Functionality Meets Style
This kitchen isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s designed for everyday living. The ample counter space, sleek modern appliances, and smart storage solutions cater to both form and function. By keeping clutter to a minimum, the space feels open and airy, perfect for Miami’s vibrant lifestyle.
