We’re excited to reveal this home in two parts, as it’s far from the typical new build. Not all new builds are created equal. While many come with a predictable, cookie-cutter feel, this Boca Raton home? It’s got personality. Introducing the Essex House: A Designer Home by Studio 790 Interior Design.
Designed for a newlywed couple as effortlessly cool as the space itself, this home started as a blank slate—a fresh construction with all the builder-grade basics. But instead of settling for just okay, we helped them elevate the right areas to create a home that feels curated, warm, and full of character. Every choice—from the textures on the walls to the layered furnishings—was made with intention, resulting in a home that truly feels like them.
Stay tuned for the next reveal as we continue to showcase how we brought their dream home to life. In the meantime, we are so excited to share our latest project reveal fro the Essex House: A Designer Home by Studio 790 Interior Design.

With new builds, it’s easy to feel the pressure to upgrade everything. But the real design magic happens when you know where to invest. Our approach?
Upgrade where it adds value & interest – We swapped out builder-grade finishes in key areas, adding layers of texture, depth, and warmth.
Keep it simple where it works – Instead of over-customizing every inch, we left certain builder selections in place where they made sense, creating a balanced, intentional design.
The result? A space that looks anything but standard, without unnecessary overhauls.

Let’s talk about first impressions. The entryway is the opening act of a home, and this one? It sets the tone with warmth, texture, and a whole lot of style. We started by adding reeded wooden paneling to the ceiling, instantly transforming an often-overlooked space into a design moment. (Pro tip: never forget the ceiling—it’s your fifth wall!) Below, a sculptural wood console table anchors the space, styled with a sleek mirror, a functional table lamp, and the classic catch-all bowl for those everyday essentials. And, of course, no look is complete without the jewelry of the room—this stunning five-light chandelier, bringing in just the right touch of modern elegance. The result? A space that screams chic, cool, and effortlessly organic—the perfect welcome home.

The next room from the entryway is what we’re calling the library—a space that was originally designed to be a formal living room but is being reimagined for modern family needs. More and more, families are choosing to transform this traditionally underutilized space into something more practical. Our client asked for a flexible area where they could work, lounge, or entertain, and we’re thrilled with how it turned out.
The standout feature here is the custom-built book and art ledge. This piece is the focal point of the space, it really sets the tone for the room and was the first element we created before everything else came together. The ledge features a beautiful light wood laminate finish paired with elegant brass rails—it's the perfect balance of function and design, offering a chic backdrop to the entire space.
Since this is an open room that leads directly from the entry, we wanted to keep it feeling open but still defined. Instead of closing it off with doors, we opted for stylish divider panels that subtly create a sense of separation while maintaining the flow.
The furniture we selected is elevated and chic, with clean lines and thoughtful details that bring sophistication to the room without sacrificing comfort. It’s a space that’s not just visually striking, but one that invites relaxation, work, and socializing all in one. Perfect for modern family living!

The kitchen in this home got a fresh, minimal upgrade. We asked the builder to skip the backsplash and cabinet pulls, and with that simple tweak, we had a clean slate to work with. The real magic came when we painted the kitchen in a stunning sage/olive color, bringing in a calm yet rich vibe to the space.

To add contrast and texture, we paired the soft green hue with a striking viola-look porcelain tile—its unique finish brings interest without overwhelming the room. We also chose two gray cement-finished pendant lights that add an industrial edge, and polished chrome cabinet pulls for a sleek, modern touch.
The beauty of this kitchen lies in its simplicity, with the natural materials and subtle color palette coming together beautifully. It’s a space that feels both inviting and sophisticated, with just the right amount of detail to keep it interesting.
This family room is designed as a harmonious blend of comfort and sophistication, with a curated mix of modern and organic elements. The sofa serves as the focal point, offering ample seating with clean, contemporary lines softened by neutral fabric and artfully arranged pillows in muted patterns. A sleek marble coffee table adds a sculptural touch while anchoring the space, complemented by a velvet swivel chair that invites relaxation.

To create continuity and cohesion within the home, we tied back the same reeded ceiling paneling from the entryway ceiling to the living room wall. This design choice not only visually connects the two spaces but also adds a layer of warmth and interest to the wall. For balance, we opted to place the panels on only half of the wall, pairing them with a natural light grey grasscloth wall covering on the other side. This combination introduces texture and subtle elegance, enhancing the room’s overall aesthetic.
The lighting design elevates the room, from the brass chandelier's elegant glow to the wall-mounted fixtures that double as art. A textured area rug underfoot adds warmth and subtle detail, creating a cozy yet refined atmosphere. The backdrop features a beautifully crafted wooden credenza and curated decor, including books, ceramic vases, and natural greenery. This is a space where style meets functionality, ideal for both casual family moments and elevated entertaining.
The last space in this first part reveal is this stunning dining room space. This dining room exudes understated elegance with its clean, modern design and natural materials. The soft boucle-upholstered chairs with their sleek wooden frames bring warmth and texture to the space, complementing the minimalist travertine table that anchors the room. The large windows invite natural light to flood in, highlighting the delicate greenery and soft neutral tones. A contemporary chandelier with organic, glass-like forms adds a sculptural touch while maintaining the airy, refined aesthetic. Perfectly curated details, such as the simple ceramic vase and slim candlesticks, complete the look, making this dining area a serene yet sophisticated gathering space.
